3D Modeling of singular stone structures

The flat vault of Abeille, in the Cathedral of Lugo, is an example of structures where elements bear and support each other. In this new project with the CEE Manuel López Navalón of Santiago de Compostela, we worked with these structures to show students another example of unique stone constructions in the region.

The work carried out included:

• Design and 3D modeling of the structure based on the final degree's thesis (TGF): Manuel Sánchez Peña, STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF JOSEPH ABEILLE'S FLAT VAULT
• 3D printing of the scaled model
